Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Landscaping Team Leader to join our team covering the Northampton Contract, reporting to the Contract Manager, based at our Camphill Depot.

The ideal candidates will be a self-motivated individual with a flexible approach.  A proactive and positive, professional attitude is essential as well as an ability to work well under pressure.

The successful candidates must be able to plan and organise their time efficiently in order to achieve the standards of the contract.  To lead the Landscaping Team, initially of 1-2 staff, carrying out works in the Northampton and surrounding area.

Working with the Contracts Manager to run, schedule and supervise the work of the Landscape Team and ensure it is carried out safely, to specification, to the customers’ satisfaction and signed off on completion of the works.

To ensure that the service(s) under his/her control are carried out in the allotted time and that all operations are carried out in line with company policies and procedures.

To maintain a high level of customer liaison and ensure that a good quality service is provided to Clients by the implementing of quality procedures and the employment of well trained & motivated staff.

Working with the Contracts Manager to ensure the staff have focus, the correct skill set and attitude to bring about continuous improvement in their own personal development and in the company’s performance.

Work with The Contract Manager to ensure the team have a proactive training programme.

To ensure that the area under his/her responsibility complies with Health and Safety legislation and Company Policy at all times.

Ensure that any concerns with jobs, staff, vehicles or machinery are communicated to the Contracts Manager in a timely fashion and work together to ensure a judicious resolve.

Works will consist of, but not limited to:

  • Soft Landscaping including planting, seeding & turfing etc
  • Site clearance/ tidying works
  • Small tree works
  • Small amount of Hard Landscaping including paving, woodwork, fencing etc, mainly repairs or reinstatement
  • Artificial Lawn Installation/ repair
  • Weed Control
  • Grounds Maintenance including mowing, strimming, hedge & shrub maintenance etc following new builds

Preferred Skill Sets:
Landscaping Experience, Driving Licence, Chainsaw Licence, PA1 & PA6A Spray licence, full clean driving license with towing, CSCS.

Desirable Skill Sets:
360 digger licence, Dumper Licence, DBS
